As a volunteer-run animal rescue group, Homeless Hound’s volunteers kindly donate their time to support the day-to-day running of Homeless Hounds. They help us change the lives of the hundreds of animals that come into our care each year.
Put simply – we couldn’t do it without them!
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit different skillsets. If you want to get involved and make a difference, volunteering with Homeless Hounds is a great way for you to do this while you gain experience in Australian animal welfare and meet like-minded people.

Homeless Hounds is looking for a volunteer Administration Assistant (Cats) for 4-5 hours minimum per week to help with:
- Receiving paperwork for dog adoptions and entering data into our CRM (HubSpot)
- Collating paperwork and keeping a spreadsheet of incoming and outgoings cats’ details, including vet treatment schedules
- Arranging the advertising of the dog with the Social Media Coordinator once ready to be adopted
- Coordinating with Cat Foster Carers
- Building relationships with other Homeless Hounds volunteers
- Other tasks that may appear from time to time
