Hi, I’m Millie and I’ve just turned 4 years old. I am a German Shorthaired Pointer and my favourite things are cuddles, sleeping and sniffing… oh, I do love sniffing.

My foster family sprinkle my breakfast in the grass and I spend ages sniffing up every last piece. 

I have been living with my foster brother, a 14 year old GSP. I like to be close to him but I know he is an old boy so I just touch him with my paw or we sleep with our butts touching. Other dogs are cool, I don’t love them or hate them.

As long as I have a human who will give me lots of love, I don’t mind if there are other dogs in the house or not, but I don’t think I’d like a rough player. No cats either, I think they might be too much fun. 

My foster parents say I am the best girl. I have good manners, I don’t jump up, I am gentle, and I have lived with children. While I love my snoozes, and will sleep for most of the day, one of my favourite things ever is being outside – that and cuddles, did I mention that?

I love sniffy walks, love going to new places and my foster parents were told that I used to be an experienced duck hunter. I saw a rabbit the other day and I really wanted to chase it but my foster Mum wouldn’t let me – she says I have a prey drive and I’ll need somewhere with secure fencing if it’s acreage/farmland.

I am humble, I promise, but my foster Mum was also very impressed with how indifferent I am to being handled. She cut my nails and trimmed my paw hair while I was snoring apparently!

I love to do training with my person, it’s so much fun and I pick things up super quickly.

So, who would be the perfect home for me? Someone who makes sure I’m comfortable, gives me lots of love and attention, an active family/couple who understands how important it is for me to have enrichment both physically and mentally and someone who when they do training with me, does so with positive reinforcement.

I am a beautiful example of my breed and I’m told, a loving and gentle lady. 

Millie is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.

She is in perfect health.
